The word of Allah carries wisdom for all. Not just Muslims, but every human being on this planet can benefit from the Quran if they ponder over its message. Each verse, each chapter, has lessons and knowledge that guide one to a life of righteousness and peace. Some offer tranquility while others provide support in times of hardship. The same can be said about the last three ayahs of Surah Al-Hashr. This blog will explore these verses in detail while highlighting their message and the benefits they provide to the reciter
Surah Al-Hashar & The Last Verses
The 59th chapter of the Quran, Al-Hashr, translates to “The Banishment.” Others have said that this word means “to gather together the scattered individuals.” The theme of this surah is one of reward and punishment. Allah SWT highlights the fire for the disbelievers while declaring paradise for the believers. The surah speaks of the creator’s mighty and supreme nature, reminding people of His power. The last three ayahs of this chapter are no different. With constant mention of His names, these surahs remind the Muslims that Allah alone is enough. It doesn’t matter what one is going through; the Lord hears and sees it all.
Verse 22: The Infinite Knowledge Of Allah
“He is Allah, than Whom there is no other god, the Knower of the invisible and the visible. He is the Beneficent, Merciful.”
This verse begins with affirming Allah’s oneness. It reminds Muslims that only He is worthy of worship. The verse also highlights the creator’s all-seeing nature, stating that Allah knows everything that happens in a person’s life. Whether it is visible or hidden. The mention of His names Ar-Rahman (Most Compassionate) and Ar-Raheem (Most Merciful) emphasizes the mercy He bestows upon the Muslims while reminding them that His forgiveness reaches far and wide.
Verse 23: The Supremacy Of Allah
“He is Allah, than Whom there is no other God; the Sovereign Lord; the Holy One; Peace; the Keeper of Faith; the Guardian; the Majestic; the Compeller; and the Superb. Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (unto Him).”
This verse encapsulates the supreme nature of Allah. By mentioning several of His names and attributes, it serves as a powerful reminder of His unmatched nature. For those who read it in times of happiness, it instills a sense of awe and reverence. And for the one who turns to this verse in difficult times, it gives hope. It establishes Him as the ultimate power. Over the good and the evil
Verse 24: The Creator & The Owner Of The Most Beautiful Names
“He is Allah, the Creator, the Shaper out of naught, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.”
The Creator. The Inventor. The Shaper. All that exists in this world and the unseen worship Him without hesitation. The last two verses were only focused on his name. The clear shift from Allah’s attributes to the mention of everything in the universe and in the unseen world that worships Him attests to His supremacy.
Benefits Of Reciting These Verses
Prophet Muhammad PBUH stated that reciting these verses with one other dhikr in the morning will be a way for a person to gain seventy thousand angels who will send salat upon him.
The Prophet PBUH said that whoever recites ‘A’udhu Billahis-Sami Al-‘Alim Min Ash-Shaitanir-Rajim’ three times and the last three verses from the Surah Al-Hashr, Allah SWT will appoint for them seventy thousand angels who will send salat on them until the evening. If they die on that day, the person is considered a martyr, and whoever reaches the evening will have the same status.

How To Incorporate These Verses Into Daily Life?
Reciting Them With The Morning Adhkars
The best way to include these verses in the daily routine is to recite them when prescribed. However, if one forgets, it is completely permissible to recite them at other times. Although making it a habit to recite these verses when one is already doing dhikr not only removes the friction of forming a new habit but also helps one be consistent, as they are already doing a similar act, and adding another recitation on top is easier.
Reciting It Before Sleeping
Reciting these verses before sleeping ensures that a Muslim’s last words affirm the greatness of their creator. Furthermore, Islam has certain adkhars for sleeping, which are extremely beneficial, and adding these verses is another way to maximize those benefits.
Reciting In Times Of Difficulty
The most preferred way to deal with hardship in life is to keep one’s tongue moist with the remembrance of Allah. The last three verses of Surah Hashr provide an opportunity to do just that. All three verses emphasize the greatness of Allah, stating that He is indeed the one who sees and hears what His servants are going through. This constant affirmation of Allah’s control over every situation calms the anxious heart and reminds Muslims that they will find peace if they call upon their Lord.
